Please take all necessary precautions when near the road and the rocks by the gorge ...there are sheer drops into the very deep water!
Keep dogs on a lead.
Management of the waters still draining from the nearby lead mine is by the use of constructed wetlands. Previous management includes a limestone filter bed, installed in the 1960s, which is now redundant. The filter bed is still in place and can be seen from the road.
The deep ravine cut by the Rheidol can be seen from the footbridge near GZ.
Admire the swirling patterns on the water and different layers of rock strata.
