Geocache Description:


This cache is possibly the first of several to be placed in this area (and not necessarily by me). I have been eyeing this area for a while, and since other areas I have scouted out have been taken, I was "forced" to take action and start placing some hides.

The cache is located in Village Green Resort, a prestigious community which has seen much more development recently. Please be respectful of any residents and the beautiful landscaping that is ongoing.

Nestled within this 88-acre community lies several buildings, to include:

  • Carolina Highlands at Village Green
  • The Rehabilitation & Health Care Center at Village Green
  • The Carolina Inn at Village Green (assisted living residence)
  • Dark Branch Racquet & Swim Club
  • Fayetteville Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine (newest building)

  • The Carolina Highlands is an active adult retirement community that was established in 2000 and named after the original settlers of Fayetteville, North Carolina, who arrived from the Highlands of Scotland in 1739. Originally comprised of 29 private residences, the current retirement community consists of 44 elegant condominiums for active adult living.

    Again, depending where you park, please be respectful of the area and the landscaping. Use caution if you take the path over the bridge - maybe even stop on it and enjoy the view and maybe even feed the ducks and/or geese (they will definitely make some noise).
