A quick drive by cache just off the main A697. Easy on and off the main road just drive to the other end and rejoin.
This road was at one time part of the main road from north and south. Just south of this bridge, the old road goes throught Weldon Bridge and over the Weldon bridge which was the crossing over the river Coquet before the modern bridge was built. Since the new road was put in this one only gets used by local traffic and horseriders.
I've searched the internet and asked the older locals but no one seems to know anything about this bridge, so if you know anything about it I'd be interested to hear.
