Geocache Description:

The R56 between Richmond and Ixopo crosses the mighty Mkomazi River over the Josephine Bridge. Built in 1889 at a cost of £4650 (about R9300 in those days), it was reconstructed in 1914 and widened in 1972. The pass approaching on both sides is quite magnificent and well worth a stop to take in the view.
