Geocache Description:

Serenity and Firefly tell stories about failing and continuing on despite the odds. Mr. Universe gives them the ultimate backup plan.
-

Mr. Universe via his robot wife: "Mal. Guy killed me, Mal. He killed me with a sword. How weird is that? Gu, a short span here. They destoyed my equipment, but I have a backup unit. Bottom of the complex right over the generator. Hard to get to. I know they missed it. You can't stop the signal, Mal. You can never stop, the signal."

Mal: "I know the secret. The truth that burned up River Tams brain. The rest of the verse is going to know it too, because they need to."

You too can have success after failure. This is your backup opportunity for failing to get an FTF elsewhere. The pursuit of FTFs can sometimes be disappointing. This challenge cache is a little palliative to take the edge off of a tough 2TF or 3TF. Here are the requirements of the challenge:

^You must find 10 caches to complete this challenge.
^The caches must all be found on or after January 1, 2010.
^You may not be the FTF or claim FTF (or co-FTF) honors on any of them.
^You must find and sign the log of the qualifying caches on the same calendar date as when they are first found.*
^Event caches don't count.
^In your "found it" log, list the qualifying caches--include at least the waypoint ID (the "GC number"). (If you'd like, tell us who did get the FTF for each qualifying cache.)
^You must sign the log of the physical cache; you may sign the log before completing the challenge.
^You may log this find multiple times. Just re-list another ten qualifying caches.
^This cache was inspired by and copies text from GC1NY0V. If you choose to find and log GC1NY0V or a challenge cache with the same theme you must not duplicate qualifying caches for both challenge caches.

This cache is located at the posted coordinates which are within a park with typical hours. There is a vehicle entrance fee at some times of the year.

Have fun with this challenge!
*( If finds other than FTF were allowed before publication, and you were allowed to find the cache early; then you need to have also found the cache on the date of the first finder after publication too. Folks not privy to advanced notification who see the cache only upon publication have a qualifying cache if they find the cache on the publication date. The idea is that you find the cache on the date of the earliest opportunity--generally, the same date as first finder--but still didn't get the FTF.)
