Geocache Description:

Treasures of Scouting is part of the "Get in the Game" initiative, which is a partnership between Groundspeek and Boy Scouts of America celebrating the 100th anniversary of Scouting.

" The true treasures of Scouting are the values that it teaches our youth, helping them grow with character and integrity. " This cache is to say many thanks for all of the volunteers it takes to run a successful youth program. Volunteers take their time, their money and their sacrifices to lead young boys, to teach them and help them have experiences they may not have had. All of those wonderful experiences are life lessons that they will remember well into adulthood. Our volunteers share common goal. That is to lead our youth to "become responsible, caring and competent citizens." In this 100th year of Scouting, let us not forget our volunteers by saying "Thank you" for your dedication and support to our youth of today and leaders of tomorrow. If you would like to help youth achieve their true potential as a Scouting volunteer—or if you know of a child that could benefit from the program—visit Scouting.org/Join.

This cache was placed with the approval from Storm Water Management Department. It could be a little soggy after a rain, so be prepared!
