Bike Trail #7 Traditional Cache

WVTim: Archiving to make room for some new caches. Thanks to the many who visited. When I was there yesterday, I removed and logged any Trackables in the cache. The actual cache box was moved to Bike Trail - Bottom of the Hill.

Geocache Description:


Grab your bike or walking shoes to access this series of caches along the WV 9 bike trail. Bike Trail #1 to Bike Trail #7 is a 2 mile round trip. The cache numbers and descriptions are from Martinsburg - heading towards Charles Town.

This series of caches is located on the new bike path, which is still under construction in some parts, and is adjacent to the new and improved WV 9. The construction of this path is planned for the entire 10-mile section of Route 9 between Martinsburg and the Virginia line. It will be several years before we see the entire project completed.

Martinsburg parking coordinates are listed below. Parking is at the trail head near the Regional Jail.

This cache is located at the bottom of the hill just off the bike trail. Use stealth on this one, its close to the road. There is actually a small pull off on Route 9 near this cache. If you walked or rode your bike, it is .93 mile back to the parking lot. Please hide well. Enjoy!!
