Heuvelland, waar tot op heden weinig caches waren.
Op 7 juni 1917 werden de Duitse
stellingen opgeschrikt door de indrukwekkende ontploffing van een
hele reeks dieptemijnen die door de Engelsen gegraven waren de
voorbije maanden. Hier ziet u het resultaat van de gekendste ervan,
de Pool of Peace. Tot november 1914 stond hier nog de
Spanbroekmolen, maar deze werd verwoest bij de hevige gevechten om
deze strategische heuvel te veroveren.

vinden!

caches and a bonus near attractions in this beautiful Heuvelland,
where not a lot of caches could be found until now.
On June 7th 1917 the German
defense lines were shaken by a series of impressive explosions of
depth mines who had been dug by the English in the past months.
Here you see the result of the most famous one, The Pool of Peace.
Until November 1914 the Spanbroek mill stood here, but was
destroyed during the fierce battles to conquer this strategic
important hill.
