EH2 - A Night at the Theater Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

MainePublisher: All geocache placements must have a responsive owner. The cache owner must be able to respond to issues that come up and to submit an "owner maintenance" log to remove the "needs maintenance" icon.

In addition to the "needs maintenance" logs and DNF logs, Goundspeak also uses a Health Score algorithm. https://www.geocaching.com/help/index.php?pg=kb.chapter&id=38&pgid=713

In this case, Groundspeak has sent an email to the cache owner with no response. The cache owner did not respond to any of the cachers hoping to find the cache and did not respond to the reviewer note so the cache is now archived.

The cache location is now open for any Geocacher to place a new cache, including the original cache owner.

Geocache Description:

Second in a series of evil hides. In plain sight but might be hard to find.

Welcome to the Evil Hide series. Second in a new series of caches that will be both challenging and rewarding to find. For those of you who like Stop & Grabs, these are placed within a very short distance of parking, should mostly be handicapped accessible (this one is not), but may very well tax your imagination and geocaching skills. A Night at the Theater. This cache has been placed at a local community theater, currently being renovated https://oldchurchtheater.org/restoration. This is the second oldest building in the town, built in 1793 as the town (non-denominational) church on the Upper Plain near where Oxbow High School now stands. It was purchased by the Congregationalists, dismantled and moved to the site of the present Congregational Church in 1835 and used as their house of worship. In 1875 it was moved again, to the side (where the parking lot now is) to make room for construction of the present-day church. It continued to be used as the Congregational Church while the new building was under construction. The new church was opened in 1876 and the old building was moved sometime thereafter to its current location. It has had many other uses over the years and has housed Old Church Community Theater since 1984. Bring your own pencil.
