The trail to this cache will take you to what I consider the
most beautiful section of the Tosohatchee WMA. I recommend that you
take the Swamp Spur trail from the listed parking coords, walk
across the short foot bridge and follow the trail to the creek. The
hike will take you through a Pine, Oak and Palm canopy to an open
grassy area leading to a surreal setting along James Creek covered
with ferns, cypress knees and majestic palm and cypress trees.
You are searching for an ammo can which is hidden at the base
of a cypress tree and it’s tethered with a wire that is blue
in color. Look for a palm tree next to two large cypress trees atop
a small section of higher ground near the creek.
The cache contains a logbook and pen as well as plenty of
kewl geo swag including several unactivated geocoins. Please trade
accordingly and be sure to cover the cache before leaving the
area.
