Geocache Description:

04-28-20 - The original cache container (a birdhouse) was found destroyed - both Dbricks and TVClark helped in replacing the container, sorry no more birdhouse - now a small container! Thanks to both of them for helping to keep this cache alive!

This area of the Canaveral Marshes isn't visited much as it is quite a ways from the main parking area. There are a number of blazed trails in this wooded section. The cache is located just off the orange blazed trail

Please close everything up as found as the Florida weather is brutal! (BYOP - any swag will just rot out there). You can get to the cache by land or by water (Kayak, canoe or motor boat), If your into rough biking, you could bike to the cache. There really is only one way to get to this area and that is following the blue blazed trail. You can pickup the blue blazed trail right out of the parking area or you could head south to the first road on the left and follow that to the blue blazed trail. I've hiked just about everywhere you can hike in this area; it is a great place to visit.

I parked off RT50 at N28 32.635 W80 53.791 (look for Canaveral Marshes sign).

I have picked up a lot of hunter/hiker trash while exploring the area, please consider being a CITO cacher.

In the St Johns River area hunting is allowed at different times of the year. You can check my hunting calendar at "www.tinyurl.com/techunts" or click here to see it now. If in the area during hunting season, wear your orange or bright colors.
