Located a short drive from the towns of Cockatoo and Gembrook, made famous by Puffing Billy. This cache is on a quiet back road and although gravel is accessible by any vehicles, including small cars and motorbikes.
The cache is located behind a strange looking tree roughly 500m up Evans road from the crossroad and local school. The cache is under a large rock at the base of the tree. The container is a 1lt sistema clip lock and contains everything needed for a good cache, a log book, pen and pencil. It also contains plenty of goodies such as St Kilda lanyard, Star Trek speed ball, bouncey ball, chupa chup mobile dangle and a nail file in the shape of a fish. Be sure to cover the container with dirt before putting the rock back on top, there are also plenty of leaves to make sure a muggle doesnt stumble across it while taking a toilet stop.
Stop and enjoy the views of the country side, plenty of cows near by and rabbits will frequently run across the road. Be aware this road although mostly traffic free can get large numbers of traffic due to a local paintball centre about 2km up the road. the location of the cache will allow for plenty of warning of traffic by both sight and sound. Be sure to check out the locate towns as they offer some great weekend markets and the bakeries in each of the towns offer delicious pies and cakes and of course look out for Puffing Billy!
