Geocache Description:

Here is some interesting info about INDIGO:
According to Wikipedia:
Indigo is the color on the electromagnetic spectrum between about 420 and 450 nm in wavelength, placing it between blue and violet. Although traditionally considered one of seven divisions of the optical spectrum, modern color scientists do not usually recognize indigo as a separate division and generally classify wavelengths shorter than about 450 nm as violet.

Like violet, whether indigo is considered a shade of purple depends on context. Common English usage defines a purple color as any color between red and blue whereas in color theory, a purple color is defined as any non-spectral color between violet and red (not including violet or red since they are spectral colors). Thus indigo and violet fit the common but not the color theory definition of purple.

One can see spectral indigo by looking at the reflection of a fluorescent tube on the underside of a non-recorded compact disc. This occurs because the CD functions as a diffraction grating, and a fluorescent lamp generally has a peak at 435.833 nm (from mercury), as is visible on the fluorescent lamp spectrum.

The first recorded use of indigo as a color name in English was in 1289.

More INDIGO info:

Indigo “Also known as The Devil’s Dye”, used to be an important crop in South carolina and the southern United States. Indigo was used for making dyes. Consumers' demand for exotic fashion fueled the expansion of indigo cultivation, but at a substantial human price. Unpaid forced labor was used to cultivate indigo, it was processed into dyethrough a fermentation process, and then use to dye fabrics an amazingly deep shade of dark blue. Even though it could be harvested a maximum of three times a year in North America, with the invention of the cotton gin, which enabled planters to make greater profits planting cotton, indigo fields were largely replaced with cotton. Other planters turned to corn, which was much easier to cultivate. By 1800, commercial indigo production in the southern United States had virtually vanished.

Indigo dye, comes from the plant Indigofera tinctoria, and, being a deep blue, is often used in the manufacture of denim or the crayon you might use to color in a night sky. Computer grapics will use Indigo as a very deep electric/ midnight blue, not far from a black.
Indigo Ink is almost black. Artists use it as a very deep purple/black shade.

The color indigo was often associated with power, royalty or religious ritual. It has held a significant place in many world civilizations for thousands of years. For example: an indigo garment dating from c.2500 B.C.was found in an excavation of Thebes. — furthermore, the Hindu god Krishna is most often depicted in blue. Also human sacrifices were often painted blue in ancient Mayan culture. And the Virgin Mary is regularly imagined draped in blue clothes in Christian art.

Now for the cache itself:
Disclaimer: This cache really has no connection to INDIGO other than the inspiration for it's name. BUT I thought this information was really interesting.
PERMISSION for the cache container and the spot's modification to make it fit was given by Tyler, manager of the business that used to be located here.

You are searching for a large pill bottle, camouflaged to be hidden from casual observation of passersby. It is large enough for geocoins and small trade items. Bring Your Own Pen.

NOTE: the ground leading to the cache can be soft and possibly muddy if wet - just be aware.
ALSO - PLEASE do NOT park in the grass.
Watch for THORNS! You may need to be STEALTHY!!!

HAPPY CACHING!
