Geocache Description:

Hole in the Wall Gang GC23F63

"The Hole in the Wall Gang" (l. - r.) Harry Longabaugh (The Sundance Kid), Will Carver, Ben Kilpatrick, Harvey Logan (Kid Curry), and Robert Leroy "George/Bud" Parker (Butch Cassidy) in 1900.

The Hole-In-The-Wall is a narrow gap in red stone cliffs, ending in a box canyon, in Johnson County, Wyoming. The "hole" was the only way, from the East, to access a fertile valley. The Hole-In-The-Wall Gang (~1880-1900) used the valley as a corral for rustled cattle and as a hangout.

The Hole in the Wall Gang consisted of several different "gangs" of outlaws., most notably the one that consisted of Harry Longabaugh (The Sundance Kid), Will Carver, Ben Kilpatrick, Harvey Logan (Kid Curry), and Robert Leroy "George/Bud" Parker (Butch Cassidy).
