Brrrr! Man-made global
warming is out of control!

The cache location is already "Twice the
Ice," but with the ice storm this week, it's more than just
squared, it's cubed!
Icy precipitation can be beautiful or terrible, depending on
how much you get and where it accumulates. Such storms have
affected my life, for the better and for the worse.
First of all, I've never felt closer to God than when praying
intensely while white-knuckle driving on icy roads.
Secondly, my wedding was almost crashed by an ice storm in
1996. Afterwards was one cold honeymoon night, so we had to spend
most of the time in the hot tub just to stay warm! (Darn the bad
luck.)
In 2009, the River Valley region had just enough ice for me
to capture some beautiful images with my new DSLR, but not too far
north of here, it was devastating. The Ozark National Forest looked
like God had mowed the trees with a great big lawnmower.
And finally, it looks like this season's storm is going to
put a damper on my multi-county/multi-state park/multi-earthcache
geocaching travel plans next week!
Below, you'll find a gallery of images captured during last
year's ice storm. But at ground zero, you will be looking for a
magnetic key container. There is a very good chance it is not only
stuck, but frozen!

Congratulations to ORR
for the FTF!
