I
had so much fun tromping around in the swamp, I just had to hide a
couple more! This time I dragged Geo Germy along for the fun.
Once again I was on a mission, I was
bound and determined to get 528' away from MillerFam5's hide. I
wasn't going to let thorns and muck slough me down. We collected
crab trap bobbers along the way, and left them at the cache
location. (see photo) Once you arrive at GZ, the camo mayo jar is
wedged between the tree and the vine. We saw a flock of white
ibis wading around in the slough, but my camera was packed away in
my bag, so I didn't get any shots of them. We also left little
bridges, made of out rotten trees and broken branches.
I would suggest wearing your waders, like Geo Germy, and not your
hiking boots, like Jimmaxie!
I sunk in the water and it went over the top of my boot and had to
walk around with a very wet sock!
Durning the rainey season I am thinking the cache may be obtained
by canoe or yak. but it would be a long paddle to get here from the
St John's river.
They earned their stripes on this trip!!!
Happy
Hunting!!
