A small cache at the entrance to the Polish Jewry Memorial Forest.
On the road leading from Abu Gosh to Nataf, on the northern side of the Mountain of the Wind, there is a small parking lot. From one end of the lot you can hike down the black/green to Kfira spring (and a cache), while on the other side of the road you can find a unique memorial. It is the Polish Jewry Memorial, located at the entrance to the Polish Jewry forest.
The Jewish communities in Poland were the jewel in the European Jewry crown before World War II. There were over 15 large communities, some in the biggest cities (Warsaw, Lublin, Lodz, Krakow) and many in small ones. The Polish Jewish community was almost entirely lost by the hands of the German Nazis, between 1942 and 1945.
This memorial was established in 1995, to commemorate the 50-year anniversary of the end of the war. The cache is located next to the open amphitheater that is part of the site, behind a big boulder.
