Geocache Description:

Aaargh, mateys. Come find my hidden treasure trove near the shore of Lake Superior. A short lovely walk with a beautiful view of Lake Superior. Accessible in winter by those strong and hardy (and warmly dressed) who don't fear the snow. Can be muddy or mosquitoey or slippery sometimes all at once.
Try to keep contents dry when you open it. (Bring something good if you plan to take something. If you think it's trash everyone else probably does too. No business cards!)

Park in the lot in the roadside park across from the Tractor Supply store, and follow the sloping brick path down the hill until you see a large path, take a right and head down the trail. Cache can be found a little ways down, hidden on the right side of the trail, at the top of the hill, next to an old concrete pylon.

Bring something good for trade! I found a lot of garbage during cache maintenance. Please, NO BUSINESS CARDS!!!! This is a geocache not a billboard. Nobody wants a half matchbook, or a game piece, or a broken shoelace. If you think it's garbage everyone else does too.

Try not to let anyone see you take it or put it back. The Treasure must be kept secret, and it must be kept dry. Nobody wants a mildewed treasure.

Be sure to check out the pier while you're here, no cache there, but beautiful views of the Chequamegon Bay and if you walk down about 3/4 mile the opposite direction as the cache you can walk out on Ashland's former ore dock, which is now a very long, wide, dirt pier.
