This is the second of two caches placed to highlight the Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows Recreation Centres. Number 1 was inspired by the fact that, as a family, we frequent the rec centre a lot. Number 2 was just a natural adition.
This is not a commercial posting. I do not work for the Rec Center in any way. We just thought it would be nice to show off some of the great amenities in the Ridge Meadows area.
The Maple Ridge Leisure Centre features a national calibre gymnasium, weight training room, raquetball and squash courts as well as a 6-lane 25 metre competition pool, a 4-lane 25 metre teach pool, a leisure pool, toddlers pool, large swirl pool, water slde, warm wading pool and sauna. Wheelchair lifts and pool access stairs are available for all pools.
The Aquatics area is home to the Haney Neptunes and the Haney Seahorsers Swim Teams who host a variety of provincial and local events. We are also proud to be involved with many notable Archery and Rhythmic Gymnastic events in our gymnasium and Judo Competitions within our Fitness & Dance/Judo Studio.
The Leisure Centre also has a Childminding Centre, Volunteer Office, Concession, and both a Kinesiologist and Physiotherapist office conveniently located within the facility.
The Maple Ridge Leisure Centre is in the heart of Maple Ridge and is complimented by surrounding facilities like the Greg Moore Youth Centre, Arts Centre & Theatre, Municipal and Government Offices, Haney Place Mall and beautiful Memorial Peace Park.
The cache is an easy walk/drive up but the area can be very active with muggles. Early mornings, late evenings and foul weather will provide the greatest cover. The Rec Centre knows what you are doing out there so don’t worry about them. Bring a swimsuit and go for a swim while you’re there.
The cache is a small canister with room for the log only. Bring your own scribe tool. It is hidden very much like number 1 so if you’ve done that one this will be even easier.
Congrats to peppy for the FTF and still making it to work on time (reasonably). Cache first work second!
