The Pendleton Adventure Mystery Cache
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
For this true adventure of the town of Tyrone, GA and Pendleton, you will not have to travel far, but you will have to do a little bit of searching, a little bit of thinking, and a healthy amount of bushwacking.
Cache is NOT at listed coordinates To start find these two caches -GC23CEH The “lil’ cache” by my little brother and my own- GC22W9Y “my personal first“. Inside of “my personal first” you will find ‘R’ and ‘Z‘. Inside of “The lil’ cache” you will find ‘A’ and ‘E‘. Now the fun begins; your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to find all of the light poles in my home subdivision of Pendleton. You must explore the following roads to complete this task. Pendleton Trail, Kindlehurst Drive, Pennbroke Drive, Ashford Drive, Brennan Drive, Silverthorn Drive, Swanson Road, and Wheaton Way, but wait, before you search for these poles read the following notes: a few of the poles are hidden a little bit so take your time, also I wouldn’t recommend to do this at night as some don’t light up, and most important of all is that you are looking for another stage as you find the poles- You are looking for what is left of one of the poles ( this poor soul got hit by lightning a few years back, and is right next to a currant pole). What is the street number of this pole? (street number closest to it) The address is ’C’. Ok after you have sum total of BLACK (Formerly green) light poles, this is ‘P’. Now go to our imitation 17th at TPC Sawgrass, and head to the thing of eight. How many GPS’s could you charge here? This is ’G’ Head to the clubhouse and find a point where the clue could be above or below you. At this point look for a man-made letter. What is the numerical equivalent of that letter? (A=1 B=2 C=3) This is ‘L’ Now how many of this letter is at this spot? This is ‘B’. Now complete this mathematical statement. LB=S Alright now just a little more math. Final Coordinates: N33 2E.ABC W84 33.XYZ. [Z(C+G)]/2-R=ABC ; Bcubed-S+9P+A-9=XYZ There you go, if you wish to escape this cache with you and your teams’ sanity I wouldn’t recommend trying this after heavy rains. “Cache on!”
