The cache IS NOT at the published coordinates but is close by and may be located by solving the puzzle below.

This cache has been placed as a tip 'o the hat, or perhaps that should be stocking cap, to the annual Hudson Hot Air Affair.

The Hot Air Affair is a crazy winter time blend of many community activities, including the Midwest's primer winter hot air balloon rally, a 5k run, school demonstrations, pancake breakfast, crafting, coloring contest, costume party, night cross country skiing, kite flying, tethered balloon moon glow, chili cook-off and several fun geocaching activities. All of this mayhem is directed by the Hudson Hot Air Affair Inc., a non-profit volunteer community based organization.

This will be the fourth year in a row geocaching and geocachers have participated in the event. From new caches in the area, meet and greet events, and Basic 101 introductions for fledgling cachers you can find it all on the first full weekend of February.

To find the actual cache location you will need to find answers for “A” through “J” below as the final is located at: N44-AB.CDE and W092-FG.HIJ

A = The first digit in the largest number of balloons to ever fly in an HHAA event

B = The third digit in the year the Montgolfier Brothers flew at Annonay, France

C = Minimum wind speed considered too high to fly less one

D = The third digit in the year the HHAA had it's inaugural event

E = The second digit in the year the Montgolfier Brothers flew at Annonay, France

F = The first digit in the coldest temperature ever for an HHAA event weekend

G = Number of “crazy” pilots to fly a “Cloud Hopper” at an HHAA event

H = Number of times Elvis piloted his own balloon at an HHAA event plus two

I = The number of pilots to participate in every HHAA weekend to date

J = Number of husband and wife teams to participate in HHAA events less two
