Kangawallafox Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Ngaambul: As there's been either no response from the cache owner, no cache to find or log to sign, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace/make available the cache sometime in the near future (next 30 days), just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the current guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

This cache must be done at NIGHT TIME only. You will need a quality torch (and a spare one, or at least spare batteries just in case) as well as good running shoes (Kangawallafoxes can be fast so you may need to get away fast). Maybe a friend to hold your hand, or at least run for help if you become a victim ...

Short walk to original published coords to begin this caching adventure.....

The Kangawallafox is a rarely seen carnivorous native animal known to live in wooded areas. Few have seen this creature, well, survived to tell their tales anyway, but it is known for its voracious appetite, and aggressive and cunning behaviour, as well as its beady yellow eyes. It has a particularly fondness for scouts and kids on school camps, and many cachers will recall their childhood tales from fellow campers, teachers or parents telling of lucky escapes from the Kangawallafox.
The Mulligans Flat area has over the last few years been trying to manage the fox and rabbit population in this area, with many blaming the poor old fox and rabbit for declining native animal populations, However, rumour has it that it is actually the kangawallafox who is the real culprit...
Will you be brave enough to attempt to find this cache?
I suggest you leave geodogs (and other small edible things like little kids) at home... and make sure you mark the waypoint of your geovehicle so you can get back to your car after you find the cache.
.
At WP1 (the original coords), hold your torch at eye level and shine in an easterly direction to find the first markers (they look like the eyes of a kangawallafox). At each marker point, stand next to the marked tree and you should be able to see the next markers but as you move closer to the cache, the markers may be further apart. If you have difficulty seeing the next marker, trying taking small step to left or right. The location of the cache is marked with an X.
The idea for this cache came from one of our favourite caching experiences near Bathurst, "the Graveyard Ghost".
