If you attempt this cache during the winter/ rainy months, BE CAREFUL OF THE MUD. The mud on the west side of the Central Valley is thick and deceiving. You may get stuck, or sink a few inches.
While looking at a topographical map of the area, I noticed the name of the intersection of Lassen Ave., and Elkhorn Ave., had the name, “Deadmans Corners.” That name is as good as any for this cache. The parking is limited on the east shoulder of Lassen Ave., near the cache. Please becareful entering back onto the road, beacasue traffic is fast on this stretch of road.
