Five Points is an small, unincorporated farming community in western Fresno County, California. It is located 25 miles northeast of Coalinga, at an elevation of 223 feet. The named was created because of the intesection that includes the north / south street of Lassen Ave. (Hwy 269), the east / west street of Mt. Whitney and the northeast / southwest road of Fresno-Coalinga Road (Hwy 145) that all intersect, which makes…5 points. It has a current post office that opened in 1944.
There is limited parking on the shoulder next to the cache. You should be able to see the cache before exiting the car. During winter months and the rainy season, the Westside mud can be thick and deciving. Please becareful walking, you could sink a few inches.
