Pack up some water, snacks, a throw toy and head out for some fun with the dog(s). You can forget the leash. This is your best friends paradise.
Ready to get out of the house and stretch your legs? You and your dog(s) will love this park. No leash required although you may want to bring one for the parking lot. Trails go everywhere (we've heard around 1,000 acres). Want to socialize your dog? This is the place. Dogs are running all over this park swimming, hiking and having fun - off leash. You can go to this park 100 times and go on a new trail each time. There are trails in the woods, trails in open fields, trails to the river, ponds, etcetera. The fun never ends for you or your dog(s). Bring a ball, frisbee or other favorite toy because there are plenty of open spaces for dogs to play. If you throw it too close to the parking lot, you may have a pack of dogs retrieving it...enjoy. Don't forget to take the leash off. This is a dogs paradise.
Large parking lot was built a couple of years ago but it still fills up. Restrooms and picnic tables at the parking lot. I didn't see any grills. There are some Dogipot pet waste stations near the parking areas with dog pick up bags available for incidents.
There are several ways to get to this geocache. The main trail on the right as you drive in (fenced) is a nice hike along a large trail. Geocache is near a trail so you can follow trails the whole way to the cache. Large ammo box with toys, trackable and dog treats.
