This is a Micro Cache so bring your own writing instrument and enjoy the preserve. Its family friendly and a short walk from parking.
Park Ridges' Wildwood Nature is a suburban oasis offering a Butterfly Garden, Self-Guided Walk, Walking Paths, Picnic Facilities, Fishing Ponds, Campfire Pit (for use during Park District led programs, Prairie Demonstration Garden, Rain Garden.
Wildwood is adjacent to this cache's former home, Maine Park Leisure Center, a 10.1 acre park adjacent which offers soccer field, picnic areas, playground, rec center, two ponds, prairie, gym, nature center and a baseball diamond. A great open space resource in a suburban area. The cache was migrated to safer quarters after going missing and to avoid seasonal challenges.
