Geocache Description:


This cache has a local historical interest, in to how Dobbs Lane in Kesgrave was named.
John Dobbs was a shepherd, in 1750 he hanged himself in a barn on Kesgrave Hall Farm (later Grange Farm), and was buried at the four crossways where the Main Rd meets Dobbs Lane and the turning to Bealings. His grave is marked by concrete head and footstones,the grave is surrounded by a decorative iron fence.
Some have called this the grave of a highwayman who was left hanging beside the road as a warning to others.
You could also do Woodman Walk & The Farm House Caches along with this one. You may want to park at the Farm House so you can enjoy the refreshments on your return.
You can also do a Cache and Dash by Parking in Dobbs Lane just past the school, on your left is parking on a corner.
