If you like hiking and beauty of the desert, this is the cache for you. You will find this cache in a beautiful little valley that has no ATV trails, man made trails and no litter right in the White Tank hills. Take a camera, a walking stick and just enjoy this great little area where you will be following game trails while making your loop searching for the cache.
The cache is located on State Trust Lands and does require a permit to enter the area. Although you will see evidence to the contrary, vehicles are not allowed in this part of the trust lands. To make this search you can access from either direction, east to west or west to east. The loop is 2.7 miles round trip from the parking area. My walking group has been hiking into the White Tanks for a number of years and we always take grocery bags to carry out litter on our return to the car. We will never get all of the litter out of this part of the desert in our lifetime. I encourage you to take a couple of bags with you to help us remove litter on your way out.
The reason for the title is that my wife and I discovered a small group of javelina's also enjoying the area. It's always nice to see something live when walking out in the desert. The coordinates for the parking area next to Sun Valley Parkway are N 33 degrees 38.808 and W 112 degrees 29.812.
Congratulations to SRLADYBUG for first to find and grabbing off the money.
