Road2Ruin: The property owner has erected a serious gate and fence at the entrance to this area. Since the intent is clearly to prevent any type of access, it is time for me to remove the caches hidden here. Thank you to all who visited.

Geocache Description:

This lonely cache has been hanging out with the wrong types lately and could use the company of some fine citizens such as geocachers.

Parking is on Del Caballo.

This neighborhood has lain abandoned for over 25 years. We noticed it 21 years ago from the pair of gazebos that are a part of our neighborhood and, occasionally, we have wandered down to experience the eerieness of streets without houses. Nature has been steadily reclaiming the development, Claims have also been made by kids doing what kids do in places like this.
A local resident from the adjacent neighborhood said this was to have been an "estate" area with large homes on big lots that were zoned for horse property. He said the building of the neighborhood was halted because of a water problem, with springs and small sinkholes appearing.
