This cache is named for A Spell for Chameleon, the first book
of
the Xanth series by Piers Anthony. Like Chameleon this Cache
may
change how it looks. It may be totally camouflaged or it may
look
like you. Bring Your own Pencil.
Xanth was the enchanted land where magic ruled--where every
citizen
had a special spell only he could cast. That is, except for Bink
of
North Village. He was sure he possessed no magic, and knew that
if
he didn't find some soon, he would be exiled. According to the
Good
Magician Humpfrey, Bink’s talent was as powerful as the
King’s. Unfortunately, no one could determine the form
of
Bink’s magic Talent. Meanwhile, Bink was in despair. If
he
didn't find his magic soon, he would be forced to leave...
Bink
meets Chameleon whose talent is shape shifting, although this
is
involuntary. In a cycle that goes on perpetually throughout
her
life, she becomes ugly and very smart, then has average
intelligence and beauty, then becomes radiantly beautiful and
stupid, then average intelligence and beauty, then returning
to
ugly and very smart.
