Rally Was a Good Boy Traditional Cache

Rally was stillborn on January 15, 2009; his mother pushed him aside from the other puppies to let him die peacefully. But, humans being humans, he was resuscitated and brought to life.

It was soon learned, however, that Rally had a birth defect that would not allow him to digest food like other mammals.

It has long been said that animals choose their human companions and little Rally was no exception; I was Rally’s human.

Rally loved me and I loved Rally!

Despite giving him a name to encourage him to greater health, Rally did not rally and died on January 31, 2010 barely a year after his birth.

There have been many animals in my life that I have called my friends. Rally was my closest furry friend!

Originally, I was going to hide a cache here for other cachers to find and for me to use as a personal mileage tracker. But, after Rally died I decided to name it for him.
