Geocache Description:


Who knew Alameda had its own little community of houseboats? To get to this cache, take the bike trail behind the original Chevy's (which closed in 2006) and stroll alongside the floating homes while enjoying lovely views of the estuary and Oakland. Commodore Cruises also has their fleet of yachts here so, if you feel like getting out on the water, you can book a trip with them while you're in the area. This is a hidden part of Alameda that few outsiders know about or visit so welcome!
