In Funabashi, "the bridge of the ship" means.
Old people floated a ship on the river and made it the change of the bridge in old days when they crossed Ebi River.
They called it Funabashi and settled as the place name.
A genuine bridge is built over the river now.
cache set it up near a bridge.
Please look for cache while strolling in the side of Ebi River.

船橋の由来
船橋は『船の橋』という意味です。
昔、人々が海老川を渡る際に、川に船を浮かべて橋の変わりにしていました。
それを船橋と呼び、地名として定着しました。
現在、川には本物の橋が架けられています。
cacheは橋の近くに設置しました。
海老川沿いを散歩しながらcacheを探してみてください。
