Old Tokiwa bank building
Tokyo modern ages and construction series # 03
This profound bldg. is in the place of walking a few minutes from subway Ningyocho. It is said that original was a branch in the Tokiwa bank though it is used as a building of the glass manufacturer now. The completion is like 1932(1932) pubescence.
The reproduction of the thorough [namadena] [you] type construction will automatically draw in the seen one though the style of the classicism construction will be carried out by splendor as for the externals, and the building enters in the medium scale in the bank store on old before the war.
Details seem to be uncertain though the design also has the work of [**] construction office in the design office in [****] where Japan of prewar days is represented and the introduced book.
It is a kind of miracle to keep externals at the completion this time as it is. It is the one that it wants you to leave it to future generations by all means.

旧常盤銀行ビル
東京近代建築シリーズ #03
この重厚なビルディングは、地下鉄人形町より徒歩数分の場所にあります。現在はガラスメーカーの社屋として使われていますが、もとは常盤銀行の支店だったといいます。竣工は昭和7(1932)年頃のようです。
その外観は見事なまでに古典主義建築の様式が貫かれており、建物自体は戦前築の銀行店舗では中規模なものに入りますが、その徹底的なまでな様式建築の再現は、見るものをおのずと引き込んでしまうでしょう。
設計は戦前の日本を代表する設計事務所〔曾禰中條建築事務所〕の作と紹介している本もありますが、詳細は不明のようです。
竣工当時そのままの外観を保っているのは一種の奇跡です。是非後世に残していって欲しいものです。
