Lakeview Cemetery is known for its beauty and historical significance. It boasts many locally, nationally, and internationally known residents. In the Wade Chapel you can view an amazing and truly unique mural created by Tiffany. You can visit the resting place of a former president and you can see several kinds of birds at all times of the year.
But, what's really unique about this cemetery is the HUGE damn right in the middle of it all. When you see how small the creek is that it's damming, it seems strangely out of place. The dam was built in 1978 at a cost of $7 million to prevent flooding. I think it's gonna work!
You are looking for a magnetic key holder in the usual place. You can practically park next to the cache and you will not be near any graves. Cemetery hours are 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
