The park is open 8am-8pm daily. There is an admission fee. When you get close to the cache, you might want to let your gps settle down for a minute. Just remember that no matter what reading you get, you can easily reach this cache while standing on the trail.
This trail was created several years ago by the excellent trail crew we had at the time. It got its name from a group of senior hikers that came out to help maintain the trail. They call themselves the Turtles, so this became the Turtle Trail in their honor. It is a great way to get from the campground to the park center without having to travel the road. Park across the road from the Park Center. This is a mini, but not much room for items. Bring your own pen.
