Geocache Description:

A memorial to commemorate the sons of Te Awara who died in World War I.

Please bring something to write with.

Located in the Govt Gardens (Rotorua), this is a easy walk by site, with wheelchair access. Note it can be every busy.

The memorial was built to commemorate the sons of Te Awara who fought and died in World War I. The sculpture was created by WH Feldon and unveiled in 1927 by the Duke of York (latter King George VI). The sculpture tells a story of the Te Arawa.

The container is very minimal to give the cache a low profile.
