Geocache Description:

Mance Lipscomb (1895-1976) was an influential blues singer and guitarist born in this area. He spent most of his life working as a tenant farmer and wasn't discovered until 1960 during the country blues revival. He went on to release many albums of blues, ragtime, Tin Pan Alley and folk music, singing and accompanying himself on acoustic guitar.

His final resting place is here in Oakland Cemetery at N 30 23.293 W96 5.973. Please stop by and pay your respects on your way to the cache.
