[ENG] The second cache of the series introduces you Paistu Virgin Mary Church.
The first mentioning of Paistu Church takes place in relation to the Lithuanian foray in 1329. The church was probably built in the end of the 13th century. It is a stone building that originally had no tower. From the primary building the archaic eight-segment vaults have remained. On the vault there is a painting from 1903 imitating the starry sky. Interesting facts: -The tower was built during the period of 1862-1866 -The furnishing was completed mainly in 1852 during which the neogothic altar, chancel and organ balcony were installed -Altarpiece Christ on the cross is by Johann Karl Ludwig Maddaus (1952), the organ by master August Terkmann (1913)

To find the cache you`ll have to look at the cock in the tower again. Add together the tops of the cockscomb and the ends of the tail feathers. Then explore the memorial stone next to the church, that is dedicated to Estonian freedom fighters. Add the number of the swords on this stone to the previous result. This would be A.

[EST] Seeria teine aare juhatab teid Paistu Neitsi Maarja kiriku juurde.
Esimesed andmed Paistu kiriku kohta pärinevad aastast 1329 seoses leedulaste rüüsteretkega. Arvatavasti 13.saj. lõpul ehitatud kivikirik oli tornita. Säilinud on koori arhailine kaheosaline roidvõlv, mille tähistaevast imteeriv maaling valmis 1903a. 1862-1866 ehitati kirikule torn.Sisustus valmis põhiliselt 1852, mil paigaldati neogooti vormides altar, kantsel ja oreliväär. Altarisein ehitati ümber 1865a. Altarimaal "Kristus ristil" autor on Johann Karl Ludwig Maddaus (1852), orel- August Terkmann(1913)
