Le menhir de Pierre-Frite fait partie des armoiries de Basse-Goulaine, en compagnie d'un brochet,
objet d'un compliment de Napoléon III à un restaurateur de la commune.
Ce monument mégalithique, âgé de plus de 5000 ans, est orienté vers le lever du soleil au solstice d'été.
Il est haut de 3m, et mesure à sa base 3m par 0,6m.
Le nom "Pierre-frite" vient du vieux français (pierre dressée ou fichée en terre).

The menhir Pierre Frite is part of the Arms Lower Goulaine, along with a pike fish,
a symbol of a compliment of Napoleon III at a restaurant in town.
This megalithic monument, older than 5,000 years, is oriented to sunrise at the summer solstice.
It is up to 3m, and measuring at its base 3m by 0,6 m
The name "Pierre-frite" comes from old French (standing stone or stuck in the ground).
