Geocache Description:

The Avon Trail runs close to Stratford with a side loop up the Avon River to the Festival Theatre. 13 km of trail are within Wildwood Conservation Area; the rest follows pleasant creek valleys through woods and agricultural land, including the farms of the Mennonites near Waterloo. It links the Thames Valley Trail at St. Marys with the Grand Valley Trail at Conestogo. The entire Avon trail is about 100 km long. There is a sign right by the trailhead (parking area) and blazes mark the trail. PLEASE pay close attention to the blazes as the trail is not distinguishable in places and the only way to find your way is from blaze to blaze.

For more information about the Avon Trail see their website.
