This is a miniature version of the classic "Fizzy” Challenge, centered around Jacksonville, Florida.
One of the most recognized geocaching challenges is the "Well-Rounded Cacher" or "81" challenge, often called a "Fizzy" challenge in honor of San Francisco Bay-area cacher FizzyMagic (see GC11E8N in Northern California). Florida has its own Fizzy Challenge GC19RG3. It requires logging one cache representing each of the 81 combinations of difficulty and terrain.
This mini fizzy requires five qualifying finds in each of five different categories, summarized as follows:
- At least one cache representing each level of difficulty from 1 to 5.
For the purposes of this mini-challenge, half-star levels of difficulty will be rounded up to the next whole number. For example, a difficulty level of 2.5 will count as a 3-star degree of difficulty. The same rounding method will be used for terrain:
- At least one cache representing each level of terrain from 1 to 5.
- At least five different categories of caches.

Options include (but are not limited to) CITO Events, Earth Caches, Event Caches, Letterbox Hybrids, Multi-Caches, Mystery Caches, Traditional Caches, Virtual Caches, Webcam Caches, and Wherigo Caches.
- At least 5 different cache owners.
- At least 5 caches located within 15 miles of Jacksonville, Florida.
For the purposes of this cache, the coordinates of this cache will be the starting point for measurement.
The Fine Print:
- Only new finds, logged on or after the date of publication of this cache, will qualify for this challenge.
- Caches may simultaneously meet multiple categories. Theoretically, the requirements could be met with just 5 caches, or as many as 25, or any number in between that meets all of the criteria for the challenge.
- This challenge cache cannot be used as one of the qualifying caches.
Logging Requirements:
For Premium Members create a public bookmark list that includes your name in the title (e.g. "Jax Cacher by Geoname"). Include this "Jax Cacher" cache page in the list. Bookmark each of the qualifying caches and include, in the notes, the date found. For at least five caches, include the qualifying level of difficulty. For at least five, include the degree of terrain. For at least five, include the name of the cache owner. For at least five, include the cache type. And finally, for at least five caches indicate that it is a qualifying "Jax Cacher" cache.
When the bookmark list is complete, post a note on this cache page with the name of your public bookmark list. Then go look for the final cache! You may not log a "found it" on this cache until you have completed all of the challenge requirements. To allow for peer review, please keep the list public for at least three months after completing the challenge.
For Non-Premium Members email me a list with all of the same qualifying information of each cache.
The cache itself is an easy find (2.5/2), however since you have to find at least one cache that is a 4.5 or 5 difficulty/terrain the cache page has been adjusted for that purpose. The cache location can be very busy and you never know when a muggle is just happily hiding just out of sight. So please be stealthy in finding and replacing of the cache. Happy Hunting!
