This is a small cliplock container placed in Cwm Llwyd Nature Reserve.
We have placed this cache in these woods because they are a part of Swansea’s history. This part of the nature reserve used to be the site of an isolation hospital many years ago. We have tried to find some in depth information but there is very little out there. We spoke to a local resident who told us that the hospital was built to accommodate the large influx of foreign workers when the Prince of Wales docks were being built. If anyone else knows any more about this hospital’s history please e-mail us and we will update the page.
There is room for one car to park opposite Login Farm, otherwise there is plenty of off- road parking in Waunarlwydd. Please do not drive up the lane to the reserve, it is a private road.
