Background
If you've ever been out caching and have been desperate for a
pee then this cache is for you - GeoSlash.
What makes this special is that the start point is a functional
Victorian gentlemens' "facility", in fantastic ironwork (albeit it
could do with more regular visits from the cleaners!). I'm not
aware of anything like this anywhere else. Initial googling and
wiki-ing has yielded nothing by way of useful information about the
facility but I'll add any information that comes to hand in due
course.
The cache
You'll probably be pleased to know (especially the lady cachers)
that there is no need to actually venture into the facility to
retrieve the cache which involves some simple information-gathering
and a short walk to GZ.
The cache is a magnetic keyholder close to ground level and is
to be found at N52 27.ABC W001 53.DEF. The values of
A - F are derived as follows:
A - Each of the yellow and green bins, bollards and fence
posts at GZ has a particular Asian design on it. A is the number of
columns at the front of the building in the design. (For the
avoidance of doubt, include the central one!)
B - Starting at the left entrance to the facility, count
the number of yellow / green posts in the railings going away to
the North East.
C - When you reach the end of the railing, there is a
telegraph pole. What number is on it?
D - Back by the facility, there is a litter bin close by.
It is not round. How many sides does it have?
E - How many stars are there in total in the backs of the
two benches just to the right and behind the facility?
F - The street number of the end terrace directly
opposite the facility is eighty-what?
Now go get the cache! Bring your own pen.
