Now you will know what is up there. Good exercise and great view. It is about a mile and a half before you get to the forest so be prepared.
We just had to put a cache up here. We had gone up the road along Catherine Creek and came out to a beautiful view. It is a bit of a climb, but worth it. Go up the road until you come to the forest and then follow the road around to the left. Soon you will be looking down on just about everything. Down to the left are some snaggley oak trees where one will find a hidden treasure. The cache is a small/medium lock and lock with some nice goodies and an unactivated geocoin for FTF. Make sure you put the cache back with the top facing up so no water can sneak in. If you are heading down the hill aim for the big tower where the power lines change direction. There is a cache in that vicinity and then three more on down the hill back to the trailhead.
For you loopers there are 8 caches in a 4 1/2 mile hike. The loop from start to finish are GC1HA2G, GC1HCBC, GC23V0E, GC23V0W, GC838, GC23V1C, GC23V1H, and GC1GQFY
