2 till 7pm (there
you go Jaz) on the 1st of May
On the 3rd of May it
will be 10 years since the first Geocache was hidden! From one
cache 10 years ago there are now close to a million around the
world around 55,000 of them in the UK.
That being a Monday
I thought it would be a good idea to have an event on a Saturday
afternoon just before so we could celebrate the invention of the
game that is now giving so many people so much pleasure (and
occasionally a little pain).
The 2nd of May was
the day when selective availability was turned of and 24 satellites
gave us the ability to hide and find film can in Ivy covered trees
;).
The history of how
this lead to geocaching can be found here:
History
Any way, if you get
the opportunity, pop along and swap stories and meet friends old
and new.
The pub does not do
food, maybe we can all bring some food along to share.
