Earnscleugh Diggings (Central Otago) Traditional Cache
Earnscleugh Diggings (Central Otago)

in our disclaimer.
A cache located at the Earnscleugh Tailings.
The cache is about 15m off the 150th Anniversary Track that runs
from Cylde to Alexandra.
This track follows the Clutha River on the true right bank between
Alexandra and Clyde. It is a popular walking and cycle track, with
sections suitable for pushchairs or wheelchairs. The track stays
within 20 meters of the river and mostly in the shade of large
willow trees. A fantastic walk or bike with the kids for a day out
and especially good in the height of summer when shade is
appreciated.
The cache is placed just on the edge of the tailings, off the track
to avoid muggles - there are plenty of them that use this
track.
The cache is a black 1.2L snap-lock container, it has a logbook,
pencil, sharpener and some small swaps. It is under some small
rocks (just so many to choose from!), look for the tan coloured
one...
