Geocache Description:

This cache is placed near the Central Florida Council Office in celebration of the 100th Anniversary of the Boy Scouts of America.

Should be an easy park and grab. Please place back in it's hiding spot with some cover to keep it from being muggled. Placed with permission.

The Boy Scout program in the US began in 1910 and currently is open to boys ages 11-18.
Cub Scouts are available for boys aged 6-10.
Venturing is available for both young men and women, aged 14-20.

If you are interested in receiving more infomation about Boy Scouts just fill out one of the forms found in the cache and submit it to the Scout Office.

Scouts learn and grow through the experiences of camping, hiking, building projects, and community service. Scouting fosters self-esteem, a sense of value and belonging, a sense of accountability, and teamwork. It’s also a lot of fun! The skills learned in Scouting help young men overcome obstacles and challenges with courage and character throughout their lives.

Geocaching offers a new opportunity for the Boy Scouts to experience the outdoors while honing their Scouting skills. This cache is placed in honor of all young people in hopes that they will also take this opportunity to enjoy the outdoors for the next 100 years. Please leave appropriate "swag" for young people of all programs.

When you log your find of this cache, you will become eligible for the monthly drawing for a "Get in the Game" Geocoin. If you win, I will contact you through the Geocaching website and place your geoname on this cache page. Every finder who hasn't won will continue to be included in the drawings until the coins are gone. You can activate this coin as your personal geocoin and watch it travel around the world.

Thanks to Straitfan for archiving "Scouting Around" (GCT6KM) so this cache could be placed near the Scout Office.
