The Old Man in the Tree Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Dutchduane: I have moved away from the Bellingham area, and due to health reasons I am unable to return to maintain my caches. I asked another cacher, renae63, to take the cache container and be sure not to leave any geomess behind. He assures me that he has, so I am archiving this cache. It was one of my favorite caches, lasting just over 21 years, and accumulating 21 favorite points. It was a lot of fun, and thanks for the memories!

Geocache Description:

There was an old man who lived in a tree in Lynden. Thus starts a well known children's story. How well known is the story? Well, I am making it up as I go along.

This magnetic nano cache is about 30 feet east of the old man's tree. It is designed to be an easy find, one that will take you to an interesting spot in Lynden, and also build up your smiley count. Please do not poke around the old man's tree - he might not like it. And the neighbors might not either. The cache is hidden in plain sight; there is no need to dig around. If you can't see it from 10 feet away, then you have not found it. It is painted the same color as its surroundings, so I guess you could say it is a one color cammo job.
Feel free to post your photos of the old man and his tree house home.

FTF honors and congrats go to Kylies Krew!
