This cache is located in Eugene T. Mahoney State Park near Ashland, just off of I 80 at exit 426. Mahoney nestles on 690 acres along the picturesque Platte River and offers a spectacular array of lodging, group meeting facilities and activities. The dominant feature of the park is the Peter Kiewit Lodge. The Lodge also houses a restaurant that boasts the scenic Platte River as a backdrop. Whether it's hiking, biking, bird watching, or just relaxing outdoors, Mahoney State Park has recreation and entertainment for everyone.
A Nebraska state park permit is required to hunt for this cache. If you don't have one, daily and annual permits may be purchased at the park entrance. This cache will introduce you to Mahoney State Park. It's been placed by Nebraskache in cooperation with the State Park staff.
